Attic Conversions

About Attic/Loft Conversions

About Attic/Loft Conversions…

If you want to convert your attic into an extra bedroom, playroom or home office, or you just want a nice, quiet “hideaway,” using your attic space as a cozy living and/or work area can be a be a cost-effective and practical alternative to an addition or extension.

Note: Attic/Loft conversions normally require a building permit. In addition, a zoning check will be required to ensure that the proposed additional living space will adhere to municipal zoning by-laws.

If you have already hired your own architect for your drawings and obtained your permit, please fill out our Estimate Request Form. You will be contacted immediately for the processing of an estimate based upon your architects’ final drawings. However, if you still need drawings and a permit for your attic conversion, check out The Renovation Co-op’s Architectural Design & Permit Services.
